TEAM TMR is a 501c3 Not-For-Profit Organization
Providing real help to families struggling with medical, emotional, educational and financial hardship due to complex medical needs faced by their children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Lisa Joyce Goes, President
LJ Goes formerly acted as Managing Partner at The Misuta Project, an LLC dedicated to fair autism media. For two years she served as Vice President of Public Relations for The Thinking Moms’ Revolution. She is also a Contributing Editor for Age of Autism and a Human Rights Panelist for The Academy of Excellence in Learning in the south suburbs of Chicago. Her essays have been published by US Autism and Asperger’s Association, The New Day Autism Foundation, Adventures in Autism and GAIA Health, and by several mainstream print publications such as Chicago Special Parent and Family Time Magazine. She is wife to Dave and a mom caring for three amazing children, one who suffers greatly with mitochondrial dysfunction, bowel disease and immune compromise; all serious medical conditions that were mistakenly diagnosed as autism.
Dave Goes, Vice President
Dave Goes is husband to Lisa Joyce Goes and dad to three children – one of whom suffers from autism. Dave was one of the original founders of Together Everyone Aligns Medically (TEAM) and later partnered with The Thinking Moms Revolution (TMR), to form TEAM TMR. Dave is a fierce advocate of individual liberty, personal responsibility and hearts of charity. As such, he is committed to individualized healthcare and helping families in the autism community, who may not have the resources to afford such services. In his professional life, Goes is Senior Vice President of Buy Side Solutions at Morningstar, an investment research company focused on helping investors make better decisions.
Jill Bellestri, Secretary
Jill Bellestri has a very blessed life – not a perfect life, but blessed because she has a wonderful supportive husband, and a beautiful son. Jill is a founder of The Thinking Moms’ Revolution and co-authored the book The Thinking Moms’ Revolution: Autism Beyond the Spectrum. Jill believes everyone on this journey needs support and is committed to helping provide it. In her previous life, Jill worked in Sales and Marketing.
Cathleen Reilly, Treasurer
Cathleen Reilly is a founding co-THINKer of The Thinking Moms’ Revolution. As a mother to two children – one recovering from autism, the other recovering from the “common” childhood illnesses of asthma, GI trouble and anxiety – Cathy knows too well the expenses associated with providing children with the best possible chance for healthy and fulfilled lives. She believes strongly that all families should have an opportunity for “recovery” regardless of their income level. Cathy spent decades in corporate marketing before leaving to care for her family. Currently, she runs several small businesses and is beginning to enjoy the craziness that typical childhood brings into her life.
Sylvia Pimental is the stay-at-home mother of two teen boys with Autism, ages 19 and 16. She lives in Granite Bay, California with her husband of 25 years, Ken. She is an Executive Board Member of The Canary Party and Vice President of the California chapter of NAA. She is also the moderator of Sac-Autism-Biomed, and thru that group, she is a member of the Alliance of California Autism Organizations (ACAO). Sylvia is a FEAT Biomed Mentor, and also hosts one of FEAT’s Lending Libraries. She has volunteered for TACA and Generation Rescue, and has participated in many work groups and committees concerning autism. She is especially interested in biomedical interventions and vaccine choice rights.
Susan is a wife and mother to three beautiful children; one recovered from Autism, one recovered from PANDAS and one with an ADHD diagnosis. She is an attorney who closed a successful real estate practice in 2009 in order to address the medical needs of her children. She is currently legal counsel to the Trinity Charitable Foundation, LLC, working on numerous charitable causes.
